On July 10 and 11, CQD-MQD presented how quantum computing and information science is impacting the field of chemistry to local high school students in the New Haven area. The students are part of the Yale Pathways Summer Outreach program that fosters connection with the STEM community at Yale university, with students gaining access to academic lectures, demonstrations, laboratory visits, and even some research opportunities, empowering students with knowledge and mentorship to facilitate entering the field of science. The workshop session was led by Prof. Heidi Hendrickson and Delmar Cabral (Batista group) with group discussions facilitated by Prof. Victor Batista, Xiaohan Dan, Rishab Dutta, Brandon Allen, Nam Vu and Swetha Tadisina.
