Assistant Professor Heidi Hendrickson and her research team organized the “Quantum Unlocked: Qiskit Fall Fest” at Lafayette College, a two-day event aimed at demystifying quantum information science and inspiring attendees to explore its applications in their careers and daily lives. The event included a panel discussion featuring leading experts in the field, a live stage reading of the play Copenhagen that delved into the ethical implications of scientific advancements, and a hands-on workshop led by Yale PhD students introducing foundational quantum computing concepts. Sponsored by IBM, the Office of the Provost, IEEE, and several Lafayette College organizations, the festival attracted students from diverse disciplines, fostering interdisciplinary engagement with both the academic and industrial dimensions of quantum technology.
